A quick stay in Seattle. A wonderfully grey city, reminding me very much of Vancouver. I love how easy coastal cities are to navigate. The ocean always provides a great landmark.
Today the Australian friend who I was with for the past few days, headed back to Vancouver. I will miss her dearly, and am happy to have done these first few steps with her.
The photos below showcase the Seattle Underground, a Pinball Museum, and some miscellaneous city shots.
Apparently the whole city was rebuilt after the Great Seattle Fire in 1889, leaving some of the old city underground. The underground became a haven for opium dealers, prostitutes and speakeasys. What fun!
Tonight I leave the city to spend some time on a Wilderness Retreat outside of Seattle.. details to follow.
